Md. Zobair
Md. Zobair is one of the founder directors of DATA. He also has served as Managing Director of DATA for another 12 years in 6 separate terms. Zobair has extensive experience in survey based social research, and has designed and managed numerous child, household, community, school, and institutional surveys in Bangladesh.
Zobair has accrued over 30 years of experience in education, food policy, poverty assessment and nutrition-related research for a variety of international organizations, including the World Bank, IFPRI,WFP, IDS at the University of Sussex, Tufts University FSNSP, IRIS Center at the University of Maryland, University of Bath, University of Waikato, University of Sydney, the Population Council, Save the Children (USA), MISEREOR, CARE-Bangladesh, the World Vision, Development and Training Services, Inc (USA), CIDA, and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS).
As one of the founders of DATA, Md. Zobair has experience working in all aspects of baseline and evaluation research, from study design, to quantitative and qualitative questionnaire development, to data collection, supervision, and report preparation and can easily operate within all levels of government, donor institutions, research organizations, and communities.
Before founding DATA in 1994, Zobair worked with CIDA, IFPRI and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). Md. Zobair holds a Masters Degree in Economics, is expert in survey management and implementation.
He will acts as Team Leader and provide guidance and technical assistance in terms of survey management and administration, implementing qualitative survey that allows easy implementation of follow up surveys in future, time planning, survey scheduling, ensuring necessary human resources for the survey, training of survey enumerators and supervisors, and overall supervision of the qualitative surveys for ensuring the quality of data.
