Md. Abdur Rahman
Md. Abdur Rahman has been working in the survey-based social research organization for around 21 years, with experience at both the field and management levels. He joined Data Analysis and Technical Assistance (DATA) in 2003, starting his career at the management level as a Technical Coordinator in 2012. Rahman was promoted to Data Analyst in 2016 and continues in that role to this day. As a Data Analyst, he is responsible for data cleaning, data checking, documentation, data analysis, and modeling. He ensures data quality, handles data-related queries, interprets and analyzes data, and manages both online and offline data. Rahman has a strong background in managing both cross-sectional and panel data.
In addition to his role as a Data Analyst, Rahman also contributes to facilitating training for enumerators, managing and coordinating surveys, monitoring field activities, and reporting on work progress based on field findings. He plays a key role in the reporting process of survey project progress, participates in Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions, and takes part in formative research for the development of survey project questionnaires. In 2013, Rahman was assigned by the management of DATA to lead and coordinate the survey titled “Alive & Thrives Behavior Change Communication Interventions on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Practices in Bangladesh,” conducted by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). In 2020, he was tasked with leading and coordinating the “Supplementary Survey for Urban Socioeconomic Assessment Survey (USAS), Anthropometric Survey.” Additionally, Rahman has been involved in the enumerator training and survey management processes for most of the surveys that DATA has conducted in the past nine years.
Rahman has experience working in various stages of both hardcopy and device-based surveys. He has strong knowledge in agriculture, food intake, and expertise in survey management. Rahman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from National University.
